BroadswordFest is a HEMA event dedicated to the most wonderful of weapons; the basket hilted broadsword/backsword. It is jointly organised by Victoria Clow of Saorsa Swords and Chris Halpin of the York School of Defence, and alternates annually between York and Glasgow.
BroadswordFest #3 will take place over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of November at the Melbourne Centre on Escrick Street, York, YO10 4AW.
Open to everyone, it will be a fun event to celebrate broadsword/backsword, which we all know is the best weapon. Other broader swords are welcome (spadroons and sabres can come as well!)
